Isla Grande Panama is another paradise on earth that is just off the mainland of Portobelo and an hour and a half from Panama City. This tropical island will make you feel like you really are in paradise with the most enchanting vacation ever.

Isla Grande Panama is mostly protected and limited to tourism in an effort to protect the island. The majority of the island is covered by the Virgin tropical rain forests, full of nature that will completely blow you away.

You can explore on two of the walking trails of the island that will take you either to a lighthouse or La Punta beach. The beach has a greenish color and is transparent. It is surrounded by coral reef. Tourists enjoy the benefits of the water by spending time scuba diving and snorkeling. The waters are always at a cool temperature that make a dip feel like heaven. People can go to the top of the lighthouse at Isla Grande Panama and see a panoramic view of the horizon where the crystal blue waters meet the red and purple skies. The sunsets are amazing from the lighthouse.

If you don’t feel like walking around Isla Grande Panama, then you can hire a boat driver that can take you around the island by a kayak that is handmade from the trees. These boats are long skinny boats and can fit up to 5 people on them. Some people enjoy the ride by boat to see the shallow ocean floor and the marine life and others love what the rainforest has to offer.

Isla Grande Panama also has a tribe there that is very welcoming to tourists. If you find yourself wandering through the island and you run into any of the descendants, they will have open arms to you. They make a living from tourism, fishing, and trading. You will see very distinct and colorful homes that they decorate.

Isla Grand Panama is a tropical paradise that has the benefit of the ocean and white sandy beaches and the rain forests. This island is a luxury that is much more than you dream about.
